June Update

Dearest Friends and Family,

We have been in America over a month and God has accomplished a lot. We have tickets to return to Honduras on June 14th. Thanks to Hopewell Church of God we have the cash in hand to find a building to rent and get the Deaf Center up and running immediately. We praise God for their support. We have started collecting support to teach the children when we return. There are details on this project on the web site.

We have been to Michigan to Ken’s Shelton’s church, Grace and Restoration. We enjoyed visiting with old friends at Evangel Temple and Cleophus St. After a couple of work days at Lee University we will be visiting 2 churches in NC June 3rd, Marion COG June 6th, Gospel Temple in am and Palmetto Street in pm on June 10th. We would love to see you when we are in the areas. We talked to a contractor, builder in Michigan from the Grace and Restoration church in Fenton, who is very interested in working with us to build a center in the next year. We believe we will have the money to put a down payment on a piece of land that we will build during the next year. God is really moving fast.

We are looking forward to the group from Alabama’s Calvary Temple that is coming into Honduras on June 20th. They will help us get the Center ready for business and help us make contact with new children. Also a group of Students from Lee University will arrive the 29th of June and stay for 3 weeks to help us train teachers and get the new reading program off the ground.

Our web site has been revised. Please visit it. We will be putting frequent updates and pictures on it. There will also be a list of items that we need your help to collect. They can be brought to us by groups that are coming at different times. If you have collected items and need to get them to us we can connect you with others that may be close to you that are coming. The site has a blog on it that we can better communicate with each other. You can ask us questions or give us ideas of better ways to collect the hearing aids. Please visit it often as things will be added regularly.

We have enjoyed visiting with all of our friends from the past and present, as well as making new friends. We will be coming back , that we would be faithful as we continue to follow His will. to American to kick off the new school year at Lee, the end of August and the first of September. We appreciate the churches that have already booked us during that time. We look forward to catching up on old times. If you would like us to come to your church, send us an e-mail.

God has been faithful in giving Curt strength to keep up with the pace. Most people have not realized he was not well. God has provided the down time necessary to rest and we are grateful. Continue to keep us in your prayers
